Great atmosphere and super cool place to watch a band. Have seen a few here. In fact, I met my first girlfriend here in 1987. Have taken a few other girlfriends here since. Also a good place to meet someone as the party-atmosphere is pretty good for that. Everyone is here to have a good time so you get a real friendly crowd as opposed to some of the places in PB and OB.
The best venue in SD County. Even when it's packed you can still get a nice view of the stage. Just beware of flying drinks
This is the best venue for live music in San Diego. They have a wide variety of artists that play there often before they get big. Small club with great sound.
First time visiting the Belly Up. We had a great time. The service was very friendly and surprisingly amazing. And, the atmosphere was awe inspiring. I recommend anyone give Belly Up a check out. Definitely plan to visit again. They have earplugs available there real cheap if you have sensitive ears. Not that the music was overly loud for a live band venue, but out ears were definitely ringing when we walked back to the car. Next time I'll be taking advantage of the earplugs.
Really cool small music venue. Some seating but mostly standing and general admission shows. Staff is cool, multiple bars, bathrooms are clean. Parking is limited.
